I produce all of the items that are shipped out from our studio. My studio is located in Springdale, Arkansas. My wife works with me full time and handles packing and shipping all the orders. She works in the shop with me and puts out colors, tools, and reheats pieces as needed while I am working on them. I work out of a 350 pound crucible of clear molten glass. I use crushed colored glass called frit or powdered glass to add the color to my pieces. I gather the clear molten glass and roll it in the colored frit to create surface designs and textures.

OUR STORY
I learned to blow glass while working at Silver Dollar City in Pigeon Forge, Tn. from 1977-1981 in the summers to help earn money for college. That is where my love of glassblowing started. I graduated from college and worked in the area of my degree but I missed glassblowing. I ended up in Little Rock, Ar. and they had a glass program at the Arkansas Arts Center and they were looking for an instructor. I was able to teach there along with my regular job from 1986-1992. This gave me the chance to have access to blowing again. I attended a class at Penland one summer to fine tune my skills. I started my own studio in 1997 to design and produce both decorative and functional blown glass pieces for the wholesale and retail market. My glass is of a more traditional style. I feel form is an integral part of the design that is used to showcase the colors and patterns chosen.
